Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Ascen Mark portal (ascenmark.com), operated by Ascendum Corporate Advisory LLC, and the filing services ordered through it.

What we provide
Ascen Mark is a filing coordination platform. We collect your instructions, prepare the application, and instruct a licensed local attorney or agent in each destination country to lodge and prosecute it. Every matter passes through our preparer, reviewer and approver checks before it is filed.
Not a law firm in every jurisdiction
Where local rules require a licensed practitioner, that practitioner — not Ascen Mark — is your attorney of record and owes you the professional duties of their jurisdiction. Their engagement letter prevails over these terms on questions of professional responsibility.
Fees, taxes and refunds
Quoted bundles show the government fee and the professional fee separately. Government fees are non-refundable once paid to a registry. Professional fees are refundable in full before preparation starts, and pro rata afterwards. Taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax) are added where applicable to your country of residence.
Objection replies, oppositions, hearings, assignments and renewals are quoted separately and only charged if such an issue arises.
Your responsibilities
You confirm you are entitled to apply for the rights you request, that uploaded material is yours or licensed to you, and that the information you supply is accurate. Registries impose hard deadlines; delays in your responses may cause irrecoverable loss of rights.
No guarantee of registration
No one can guarantee that an application will be accepted. Clearance searches reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Examiner decisions, third-party oppositions and prior rights are outside our control.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, our aggregate liability is limited to the professional fees you paid for the affected matter. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law and equivalent non-excludable rights elsewhere.
Sanctions and screening
We screen clients against applicable sanctions and export-control lists and may decline or discontinue service where a filing would be unlawful.
